- Loan awards will be made payable to the student and will be disbursed following receipt of the
student’s signed loan agreement.
- Nursing student loan recipients are expected to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam within 8 weeks
of graduation.
- Radiology student loan recipients must become registered with ARRT and obtain an Ohio licensure
within 8 weeks of graduation
- Respiratory student loan recipients must take and pass the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Examination administered by the National Board for Respiratory Cares, Inc. (NBRC) and obtain an
Ohio license within 16 weeks of graduation.
- Loan recipients must begin full-time employment with one of the four hospitals in the East Region
within 90 days of graduation. The Eastern Region is comprised of Euclid Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital,
Huron Hospital, and South Pointe Hospital.
- Loan recipients will be required to remain in good academic standing during their course of study.

- Ask a faculty member at your school to complete the clinical reference form and return to the above address marked Attn: Future Advantage Loan Committee.
- Contact your school and arrange to have an official transcript sent to the Employment Center (see

Future Advantage Loan Application Process
Future Advantage Loan cannot be used in conjunction with the Nursing Education Assistance
Program.
Assistance Amount and Work Commitment
The following work commitments, following graduation, are required based on the amount of
the award:
• Loans less than or equal to $2,000 require 12 months
• Loans of $2,001 - $5,000 require 18 months
• Loans greater than $5,000 require 24 months
Future Advantage Loan Award Process
Associate degree and Diploma students are eligible for the senior year.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited Associate, Baccalaureate or Diploma program in
Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant or Respiratory Therapy and have a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
Students enrolled in a Baccalaureate program are eligible for the junior and senior years of
study.
